04 Arriving at a French Quarter hotel
French Quarter streets are narrow, many are one-way, and some blocks close to cars at night or during parades and events. Your chauffeur knows the hotel entrances, chooses the closest permitted drop-off point, and helps you with your luggage to the door.
Tip: put your hotel name, not just the street address, in the booking. Several Quarter hotels have entrances on a different street from their mailing address.
05 Festival and game weekends
- Mardi Gras 2027 falls on Tuesday, February 9. Arrivals in the week before fill up first.
- Jazz Fest runs over two weekends in late April and early May.
- Essence Festival takes place over the Fourth of July weekend.
- Saints home games and the Sugar Bowl bring heavy traffic near the Superdome.
The flat rate stays the same on these dates. Reserve 30 to 60 days ahead so a vehicle is held for you.
06 Going back to MSY
