Private car service in New Orleans: sedan, SUV or Sprinter

How private car service works, which vehicle fits your party and luggage, and what to know for an MSY pickup.

Four adults, six suitcases and a 4 p.m. cruise boarding time.

The question is not whether to book private car service in New Orleans. It is which vehicle. Book too small and bags end up on laps. Book too large and you pay for seats you do not use. This guide matches the vehicle to your trip, so the car that arrives fits your party the first time.

Lagniappe Chauffeured Services has operated private chauffeured transportation in New Orleans since 2011, with executive sedans, Cadillac SUVs and Mercedes Sprinters.

01 Why choose private car service?

i.

The vehicle is yours. No shared stops and no strangers.

ii.

Matched to your group. You choose the vehicle class for your passengers and luggage, not whatever car is closest.

iii.

Reserved timing. The vehicle is scheduled for your pickup, including early-morning departures and late-night arrivals.

iv.

A professional chauffeur. Luggage handling, routing and communication are part of the service.

For how it compares with an app ride, see chauffeur vs Uber or Lyft in New Orleans.

05 Airport tips for private car pickups at MSY

  1. Group arrivals on different flights Send every flight number. We plan around them: separate pickups by flight, or one vehicle that waits for the last arrival. Waiting beyond the free 30 minutes after landing is billed, so we will suggest the better option for your schedule.
  2. Collect all bags first Contact your chauffeur once the whole party has its luggage. Baggage claim is on Level 1 of the single terminal, and your chauffeur meets you inside, included in the airport rate.
  3. International arrivals take longer International flights are processed through customs in Concourse A. Tell us when you book so the pickup allows for customs time.
  4. Taxis and shuttles have their own zones Taxis load at the Arrivals Curb outside Level 1 baggage claim. Your private car is a separate, pre-arranged pickup.

For airport rates, see MSY airport transportation.

06 Questions people ask

What is the difference between private car service and rideshare?

Private car service is reserved in advance, with a professional chauffeur and a vehicle class you choose. Rideshare matches you with whichever independent driver is available when you request a ride.

Do you offer a Sprinter with a chauffeur in New Orleans?

Yes. Every Sprinter is chauffeured; we do not offer self-drive rentals. The Mercedes Jet Sprinter seats up to 10 and the Mercedes Sprinter seats up to 14. See Sprinter van service.

Can I request a specific vehicle?

Yes. You choose the vehicle class when you book: executive sedan, Escalade IQ, Escalade, Jet Sprinter or Sprinter.

Do you provide child car seats?

Yes. Infant, convertible and booster seats are $25 each, up to 3 per vehicle. Add them when you book and they are installed before pickup.
